Has anyone put these on a first gen? I know they go on 4th gens most of the time, but I like them. Can you order them in the appropriate back spacing for earlier cars. Thanks ~ John

Here's some info for you John. http://www.cragarperformance.com/cragarss.html I don't think they do custom offsets, just what they list... The one pictured is the replacement wheel which looks more like a TT-2 than a Crager SS that I think you are talking about. If you are asking about the Series 980 shown on this page http://www.cragar.com/domper.html it's not being made any longer.

Their whole line is very confusing several different web sites and such.

Thanks Dennis! I really like the Classic SS. Do you have any idea what they mean by +12,24,30 backspacing? Thanks again for the info. ~ John

I believe it's a metric measurement from center. I.E. on a 8" wide wheel it would have a BS of 4" (1/2 of 8") plus or minus the mm stated. I believe this is a much more common measurement with imports...

CJ - You out there buddy? Help us out here!!

BTW, What do you think of those wheels? http://store5.yimg.com/I/cragawheels_1652_2794900
I think they might be a nice departure from the TT2, which is a beautiful wheel, but a little common these days.

I have ordered 17" Cragar SS wheels with custom offset, they are not real cragars, but made by license from another company.

look at the place i ordered my wheels from: http://www.wheelsmarket.com/cragar-wheels-cragar-wheels-for-cars-and-mini -vans-cragar-ss--chrome.html (http://www.wheelsmarket.com/cragar-wheels-cragar-wheels-for-cars-and-mini-vans-cragar-ss--chrome.html)

Or you can look at: http://www.cragarforgedalloys.com/SS.html

But im not sure if they can make a custom offset.

Then you can look at my webpage, i hade the "Original" Cragar SS wheels in 17" before, but did not fit after i lowered the car

See what I mean about crager confusion? Look at the different links
www.cragarperformance.com (http://www.cragarperformance.com)
www.cragar.com (http://www.cragar.com)
www.cragarforgedalloys.com (http://www.cragarforgedalloys.com)

It's like 3 different companies...

I must say that this one gets my vote...
http://www.cragarforgedalloys.com/media/SS.jpg

and I thought it was the discontinued one but it looks like it's available!!

I have just bought a set of 16x8 from these guys www.cragarwheel.com. (http://www.cragarwheel.com.) The wheels are just like the classic ones but with ET conical lug nut seat.

I like them a lot and are very well detailed.

The picture of the wheel John posted looks exactly like a polished Bullit to me with a Cragar emblem in the center.

Magnus ~ I bet my car looked a lot like yours before the second owner painted it. It was also originally butternut with steel wheels. Mine was a six cyl. with standard black interior though. Thanks for the input guys.
