Hello, I'm looking for some wheel and tire fitment help. I have a stock-suspension 69 w/multi-leaf and 12-bolt. I prefer the look of the 16" Torque Thrust II, as opposed to the 17s, and would like to run 295/50R16 BFG TAs on a 16" with 4" backspacing, as I have seen this exact combo run on several 67-68 cars, BUT I suspect that the different shape, squared-off upper wheelwell of the 69 might interfere. Anyone with experience out there with this scenario? What's the biggest that will fit without rubbing? Thanks! Rob

A 16x8 4.5" backspace wheel with a 255-50-16 tire is about all you can fit without rolling the fender lip. The 4" backspace wheel will likely cause rubbing on the outer lip.

Thanks for the reply. The more I read other posts on these boards, the more I think I want to go up to 17's after all! Does anyone know where you can find pricing on the edelbrock wheels? I have yet to see anyone with them, I do like the looks of the 454 design, but it isn't offered in a 17 x 9.5 http://www.camaros.net/forum/frown.gif

I have 16 inch TT II's on my car. It has 265/50 tires on it and a 4.75 inch backspace. I am very happy with it
