I am trying to help out a friend with his 69 camaro . He is planning on lowering it 1" in the front and 2" in the rear and he wants to add a set of 18x8 wheels . What he needs to know is what backspacing and tires would work with his planned modifications . Any help would be appreciated .
Later,
Tony

According to the January '02 issue of Chevy High Performance, for the front your buddy will be able to go with 17", 5" backspacing, 8.5" wheel width and P245/50 tires. For the back they say that he can go with 17", 5.5" backspacing, 9.5" wheel width and P275/40. They also mention that ride height is an important factor but, they make no reference to nothing more than stock ride height. This isn't exactly what you are looking for but it may be a start.

By the way, welcome to the site http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
