Hello...Whats a good method to use to clean a GM distributor housing? I just picked up a numbers correct one for my car but is horrible looking. Anybody?

Clean it with lacquer thinner to remove the oils and grease and dirt.
Then, have it PBM'd, Plastic Blast Media, at about 30 psi to etch the alum housing. Don't use sand blast!

I got some wire wheel cleaner that cleans the **** out of aluminum. It mayde my old doug nash trans look new...
wear saftey glasses and gloves.
I know you allready have a mother, but be carefull,
