i was just wondering what i will have to do to make the american torqu thrusts 2. i wont 17 in all the way around. what back spacing will i need? i also have a problem. right now i have the 15 by 8 rallys, but they rub on the fender when you trun sharp. i fixed it a little, itsa not as bad. i think the guy that had my car befor me heated up or cut the springs. what should i do about that?
thanks

I run 17x9.5 in the rear with 5.75 backspacing and a 275/40 tire. 5.5 backspacing has been posted previously by other members. In the front I have 17x7, 3.75 backspacing and a 225/50 tire. Other members have posted 17x8.5. As far as your spring problem, in my opinion, I feel the best thing to do is change the springs. I personally do not feel heating or cutting springs is the best way to change ride height.

Panther all bets are off with respect to what will fit since you posted in the body shop about having fender flares. You still have the same inner clearence but the outter is gonna be different. You will be wanting back spacing to center the wheel/tire in the space you have available. You won't be happy with a 1/2" inner fender clearence and 2" of outer clearence...

mark, my thoughts exactly haha.

panther, how did you fix it a little? i don't think the car being lowered change as much as the backspacing and tire size, can you check that out? I used to have tire rub and I changed to a smaller width, but my car is lowered a good 4 inches and I have 14 inch tires so my measurements won't help you I don't think.
