I did a search on the site and couldn't find what I need...

Will 15x7 (4.25" backspace) with 235/60/15 work on the front of a 67 Camaro...
and will 15x8 (4.125" backspace) with 245/60/15 work on the back of the same car?

I have these tires on rally rims right now and they do fine, I just don't know about the backspacing of these aftermarket rims.

Thanks,

Gary

Is your car stock ride height? Or lowered? Also how old are the springs? (are they sagged or not)

I think it is stock height, it definitely doesn't look lowered at all. Plenty of room from top of fenderwell to tires. I don't know about the age of the components, as I have just owned the car for ~4 mo.

Looking at your pic, it's probably the same height in the front (possibly a tad higher) and mine sits up a little higher in the back.

Ok, well I have 235/60/15s on the front of my car on 15*7 rallies. (I am not positive the backspacing. I have also lowered the car now from the picture you saw. Lowered it about 2-2.5 inches in the front and lowered it with hotchkis springs in the back. Looks about 2 inches lower in back. The front tires will rub on the inside of the frame if you turn the steering full lock in parking lots. But not when driving. I also will get a slight rub over a bump in the road if I hit it hard enough, but that is due to the stock springs being sagged and need replacement in the front.

On the rear I have 255-60-15s on 15*8 rallies. The backspacing is wrong 4 I think and needs to be about 4.5. With it being this low I will get a little rub on bumps again on the fender lip. If I had a little more backspacing it would be no problem fitting these tires on the rear with the height. I hope this helps. Here is a pic with the new height.
