Ok guys, I'm stuck with my 17x8 with 4.75 back spacing on the front....this is ok that what I was after, but for the rear I have 17x9 with 4.75 back spacing, will these work??? if so what size tire will I need?? I think I know what I'm doing in the front, but the rear has me all messed up...sorry about posting another topic, is there a way to change the subject of a previous post??? thanks in advance

Those should work, but they wont be ideal, and you wont be able to get the car sitting very low. I would go with a 255/40 or 50, 17 tire.

I have Weld 16 x 8's on my 68 with 4.625" backspacing and they are pretty damn well centered. If I ran a 9" wheel with 4.75" backspace, my tires would definitely hit the rear quarter outer lip??

Be careful!

AUTODR,

Sorry, but the car is at the body shop right now with the wheels on it!! They are Weld Draglite XP's in the 16x8 size with Yokohama 245 45 16 A032R's on 'em.

I have a couple of pics but they stink. You can barely see the wheels, and in one the car is 10 inches off of the floor on a lift so you can't get a feel for the ride height.

I'll see if my bodyman can snap a couple if pics for me.
