allright i have a set of 15x8" ralleys with a 4.25" backspacing and some 295/50 r15s on em, will i rub or is that backspacing enough to not rub? am i safe as far as backspacing, or shoudl i be more worried abou the outer fender lip?

Be worried about the outer lip. On a friends 69 we used a 15X8" with 5" b.s. and a 275/60-15 and it BARELY clears inner and outer. I don't see how that backspacing and tire size will clear without air shocks or fender mods.

the 295s are too wide without using air shocks. A long time ago, I put a set on my car for a few months, but didn't like the ride and replaced the tires with 265s and the air shocks with regular shocks.
