I just bought a set of rally rims that I need to sandblast and paint for my 1969 SS. The sell said that they were 14X7 rims. Since this is the size I would need for the SS I bought them. Turns out they are 15X7 JJ coded AD K18. These numbers are by the valve stem. I looked at the Camaro restoration guide and it says they are original to the 1969 Z28. Is this a good thing or no big deal? Another set of rally rims I have are coded FW by the valve stem. Where did they come from since that code is not listed for any of the 1st generation Camaros. Thanks.

The AD coded wheels are 69 z/28 15x7 ralleys. The were used in early production models. The would be worth something to someone with a early production Z.

The FW coded wheels are 1970's 15x7 Monte Carlo Ralleys and are a fairly common wheel. The also came on the mid 70's chevelles.

artsylmk, The old Z28 rallys should fit your 69SS, and will look great, even with discs up front, the bigger wheel will give your 69 a more agressive look IMO... I put some 15 YH coded rallys on my 69 and they look better than the 14s did. Hope this helps, BTW check my sig below for pictures of the 15 in YH rims...Mike graemlins/beers.gif
