I took some pic's of my 69 the last warm day we had and thought I would share...as you will see I am not a pro photographer. My 69 can be seen at www.photopoint.com (http://www.photopoint.com) Under visit albums type: dougthiel@hotmail.com and you are on your way. She's not perfect, but I own it.

Very nice looking 69 doug. Like the colors. Are you going to do the spring replacement in the rear?

Thanks for the compliments fellas. I have a set of new multileafs ready to go under the car, so that ought to cure the problem. The future plans include a 9" rear, subframe connectors, MSD ignition, Lunati hydraulic cam and when I really get sick I plan to drop in my 355 full roller motor for fun. Somewhere down the road I want to build a pump gas 540. Friend of mine has a 540 in his 69 Chevelle, good for 11.40's on 92 octane, can't beat that. My wife realizes now that this isn't a hobby, it is a full blown disease! Rock on!

Doug

PS. Forgot current specs. 461 head 355, Hooker competiton headers, Vic Jr, 750 double pumper, TH400. Pretty vanilla stuff

Hi Mark. Have you sold your car yet or is it off the market?

I decided to keep it. I still want to do a few things to it. Have you seen it in person?

I came over to your shop one day with two guys, one who was interested in your car. You have a very cool car by the way.

That's what I was thinking. Did he ever buy a car? I'm curious about your freind with the 69 chevelle and 540, does he take it out much? I'm wondering if I've ever seen it, can you describe it?

Hey Doug, Great car. Ours is in a million pieces. Hope it comes together as well as yours.

Mark,
Well he does take it out quite a bit, usually to cruises around St.Charles. It is between a red and hugger orange with a black pinstripe. There is a Chevelle at Fastlane which looks a lot like it. Broeker built the motor, really a ton of fun on the street. It just hazes the tires at will, what I would do for that kind power!!

dthiel,
Have you thought about the new Moser 12-inch rearend. They are supposed to be pretty good, I am gonna give one a whirl. I think they cost about $1800-$1900 complet. Check out their website, I can't remember the address off the top of my head or i would post it. Nice car!

I dont get it. I raced dirt track for many years,we ran a speedway mod lite floater rear end.It had gun drilled axles, extremely bullet proof, and lite, with disc brakes, minus third member, for 1000-1200$ Wanna change gear?,just pull drive shaft, and thedrive cap(3 bolts) and pull the gear, takes less than 1/2 hour,to change them. You can buy all kinds of brackets that just clamp on to the axle housing,so there's no welding to warp the housing.

Doug, how long have you had your camaro? Did your buddy find one? I can't place your freinds chevelle, I'll keep an eye out for it this summer.

Mark,
I bought the car pretty much as you see it last year. I have added the wheels and tires numerous other little things to make it more of my own. I looked around for quite a while and the funny part of this story is that after many trips to see mis-represented cars, hours on ebay, countless dollars on magazines, I find this car on a website and it turns out to be up on Hwy U (near Jerry Bickel's shop for those of you not from St. Louis)Go figure!

Hey Inspeccter,
On that 12 bolt from Moser, do you get away from the C-Clip eliminators? I've looked at their page and just figure they weld whatever housing end you request. Guess that leaves the brake package up to you figure out. I would just as soon stay away from the 9" and the funky U-Joint you have to buy for the driveshaft and lengthening the driveshaft. What do you know about this?

Great looking car Doug. Great color.
How much were the rims each?
I've been checking them out.
I know how your friends car runs. I droped a 502/502 in a 69. I keep 3 sets of tires in the garage so I don't have to go to the tire shop so often.
You have good looking car.
