hi,
im using a dodge w200 rearaxle on my 82 camaro ( :D )

Now i need to find a pair of rims and tyres for it.

I want small rims, like 15", but i cant find 15" wheels with the 8bolt fit.

So i quess i have to take at least 16", but what i want is tyres that are widebut not too high!

the width should be at least 295mm, so i want a tyre like 295-25-16 or something, u guys know of a tyre like that? or anything in that neighborhood??

and how wide can u go on a rim like 16x8? or 16x10?

thanks a lot

For that tire to fit properly on a wheel you will need at leat a 10" wide rim. Is your new axle the same length as the original Camaro axle?

I would carefully measure how much clearance you have between the axle flange (where the wheel mounts) and the first major obstruction near the inner wheel well. Now measure from the axle flange to the inner fender lip (hang a weighted line from the fender lip to gauge the distance). Add the two measurements together, subtract 1/2 inch and that should be the maximum rim width that will fit with proper backspacing.

If you have tubbed this car then all this is a mute point since very wide and tall tires & rims will fit with ease.
