My 18's will be shipped out Monday to my local tire store. The car is a 69 camaro slightly lower than stock height. The wheels are 18x8 and 18x7. I want to make sure the tires are ready when the wheels show up, since I've been waiting 2 months for the wheels. Thanks for the help!!

I would think 275/35/18 on back with 245/40/18 on front IMO.Hey what kind of wheels did you get?

What backspacing did you get?
A 275/35 18 won't fit very well on an 8" wheel. Even a 275/40 17 doesn't fit very well on an 8" wheel, and the the 18 has less sidewall to play with. I'd say go 235/35 front, 255/35 or 255/40 in the rear.

Thanks for the info. We were thinking of 235 front and 245 or 255 for the back on a 40 series. The offset is 4.00 front and 4.75 for the 9" rear end. The wheels are Budnik Fontanas in a fatlip design. They should arrive by the end of the week!!

I just got my 18's today. Use 245/40's on the front with 5" BS on 18x8 . The rear tire is 255/45 with 5.25" BS or 5.5" with rear disc brakes on 18x8. The front is awesome looking but wish I could've had a 9" rear wheel and a bigger tire. This set up really fills the fenders, might not need to be lowered. Good ground clearance, too. I used American Racing "Hopsters" wheels and Falken tires.
