I found a BF Goodrch Space Saver tire & Wheel yesterday, it is a F-78 14 & has two Valves in the rim, between the two valve it has K-1-8 8 on the other side of the 2nd valve it has 11 X A in thge middle of the wheel it has K 1 8 6 J. Anyone have a Ideal of what years that this could have came out of & where on it would the info be? Thanks in advance.

The space saver wheel you have sounds like it is from a late 70's GM vechile as it has the two separate valve stems, the early space savers had both valves stems combined into one. Someone correct me if I am wrong the date code K 1 8 decodes to Nov 1 1978.

Why did GM use two valve stems? I don't understand why two are needed Did any of the 67 Camaros come with a space saver spare tire & wheel? I was thinking that by 1978 that GM was using all radial tires on thier car.. Any info will be appreciated.
