: What type of wheels to get...

I narrowed it down to two types of wheels and need some help/advice.

Torque Thrust II (Chrome)- http://bobswheels.com/wheelpages/american/72.htm

Rebel (Aluminum) - http://www.billetspecialties.com/item.asp?cid=16&scid=1&pid=52

What are the advantages/disadvantages of Aluminum (Rebel wheels) versus Steel (TT II wheels)? Which ones would look better on a Bahama Blue 68 Camaro Convertible with a Black SS stripe and Black Convertible top? Other than the type of alloy, the visible difference is that the TT II wheels are thicker in the spokes than the Rebel wheels. Also, I plan on getting 17" wheels.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

If I am not mistaken, the TT II are aluminum throughout just like the billet specialties wheels. I would go with the Rebels. They would set you apart from the all the people running the TT II's. Either one would look great though.

I said it in the article and I will say it again. I don't care if everyone has them. I love my TT II's and I would put them on my bike if they made them that size.

You decide.

Your car looks great, awesome wheels.
I have couple pics of my 68 Rally- is it hard to get them from the picture file to this message?

The billet wheels will be lighter, have a better shine, and keep that shine much longer then the cast aluminum TTII's.
