i just bought two 1969 camaro fenders off a guy's car, he claims that they are the original ones that came on it and it looks like hes right, but i was wondering how can i tell if these really are original fenders? I figured there would be a code stamped on them somewhere but i cant find it.

Steve, don't waste your time looking for codes; there are none. GM fenders have a thicker gauge metal and they weigh a little more than a repro, but I coudn't tell you the specifics.

GM fenders have a date code stamped in them consisting of three digits looking like H52. I don't know where it would be on a 69 fender. Probably near the top on the "underhood" section.
