I would go with a full Flowmaster stystem. You can buy a full 2 1/2" system that is mandrel bent, and ready to bolt on, complete with mufflers and crossover pipe. Jegs would probably be your best bet with free shipping. (1-800-345-4545)

I have 2 1/2" flowmaster on both my camaros with headers. It is alittle too loud for me. Deep, growlly - definately!

If you want to keep your car orginal the orginal cambered exhaust sounds good.

I went with DynoMax Ultra Flow Race Series Mufflers and 2 1/4" Aluminized pipe from manifolds to mufflers and S/S from mufflers back (polished the tips, looks great). These mufflers are similar in looks to Flow Masters (welded seams) but are available in a length more suitable for 1st Generation Camaro's as 2-chamber Flow Masters fit well but are too loud for some people and 3 chambers are a tight fit. The end result is a deep, throaty mean sound that is great. I have Flow Master 3-chambers and 2 1/2 " aluminized and headers on my '69 SS and the system I just described on my '69 Z/28 sounds better!

Good Luck. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

Steve,

Go with the flowmaster system in Summit or jegs. Part # flo-17139. I heard it and I plan on getting it as well. No resonance at all. Comes with h-pipe, all mandrel bends and stainless angle-cut tips. Also comes with the delta flow 40 series mufflers. Mounts in stock locations also. Cost $321.00. Can't beat it.

I bought the Kit JayBird talked about. Flowmasters #17139. It ran 355.00 at my local supply shop. A couple of bucks more but the Big guys get enough money. I also had the collectors Jet Coated. The mufflers sit under the car so you can see the powder coated Currie rear. It sounds grrrrreat behind the ZZ-502/502. Go with them, You won't be dissapointed.
