I am debating whether i should sacrifice the high performance suspension for the wheel combo for my 69 rs. I am planning to put the whole Hotchkis suspension package. The front will drop about 2", the bach 1 1/2". The wheels i want to go with is the american racing torque thrust II's. I want 17X8 in the front and 17X9.5 in the rear. My question is can i do both or will i ahave to pick?????? PLease help

Hiya - you can do both, and I'd recommend both - key is total tire height and wheel offset. I figured out what tire and wheel combo I wanted then set my suspension up to where it would clear - my camaro sits up a bit - (Front 265\50R15 BFG ob 15x8 ralley 4" offset, Rear 295\50R15BFG on 15X10 ralleys - 6" offset). You may have to sacrifice ride height a bit to get your tires to clear. Assuming you'll a 255\45ZR17 front and 285\40ZR17 tire combo? I'd find a camaro or someone who has the stance and wheel setup your after and pick thier brain - hope this helps just a bit....

Rmfranco, this setup is popular among pro-tourers. The 69's have more clearance then the 67/68's do. Depending on your brake setup up front (disk or drum for backspacing), fronts- 17x8 (either 235 or 245/45) and the rears 17x9.5 with 5.5 in back spacing (275/40 tires). I am in the process of installing this type of setup in my 68 and have not had any problems. Search this board and over at www.pro-touring.com (http://www.pro-touring.com) and you will find a wealth of knowledge on this subject. Hope this helps.
