In a few weeks I'll be taking my car to the track for the first time and I need to purchase some good meats. I'm not sure if I should go with standard slicks or D.O.T. slicks? Do they both get equal traction? Also, I'm not sure as to which brand of tire to get. I have been thinking about the MT ET Drags 28x10.5-15 tires and the Hoosier Quick Time Pro 28x11.5-15 tires. They are both about the same size. I currently have a set Hoosier Quick Time D.O.T. P295/60D-15 tires and they don't hook up enough. Any thoughts and/or suggestions?

Full slicks would give best traction. On the other hand a better suspension ie: Cal Tracs, would help alot.
