last weekend, i was shopping for new tires for the Nova to replace the old dry rotted Eagle GT+4's i got with the GTA rims last year.
Tires Plus had a new brand of tire aimed squarely at the "tuner" crowd- called "Fuzion" and made by Bridgestone- they are Potenza's with a cool tread and a misspelled name.
anyways, my size (245/50/16) was only $90 a piece, so i got 4 of them and got them mounted. in the meantime, the carb and ignition in the car went to crap, so i haven't been able to drive on them at all until today- and all i can say is WOW. those suckers are nice. the car just flat out hooks on full throttle acceleration (haven't tried the 6000 rpm smoke show yet- just 3000 and side step the clutch type of thing), rides smooth (my cousin- who mounted and balanced them for me- said they were some of the roundest and most easily blanced new tires he's seen in a while) and corner nice. haven't driven them in the wet yet, but they are rated pretty good for rain, and have a "v" shaped uni-directional tread. head to www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com) and read some of the reviews.
so, in summary, if you want good, cheap tires in sizes from 15"-20", get the Fuzions.

Cool. I picked up some 245/50/16 and 255/50/16 Falken Z rated tires for my 68 last year. They are really nice tires and handle great. I got lucky and found the 255's mis-labeled for $77 each. I love the stance my car has with the Vintage Wheelworks 16x8 wheels and these tires.

they are great tires...I went to a drive and learn in phoenix in april and we got to test that tire against the kumho, nitto, and some other tire on a road coarse. The fuzion tire is by far the best in its class. It is a uni-t tire which is more round, better wet traction, etc. We also got to test the bridgestone re050 and it out preformed the michelin pilot sport 2!! The re050 is bridgestone's #2 tire (pole position being #1). You can get the fusion at any Firestone dealer and get a better deal the the tire rack!
