I have my 1/4 ET down to 14.2 at 99 MPH, but my 60' time is still 2.2....So i am going to get a set of DOT "slicks". I have a bunch of 15" rally rims that are 8" wide, and i am looking at the Hoosier "Quick Time Drag DOT". My question is should i go with 275/60/15 OR 275/60/15 and will these rub and fit properly?? I currently have 235/60/15 BFG radial T/A's and I just cant hook up out of the hole. My '67 also has a 74 Nova 8.5" 10 bolt w/ 3.73. Thanks for any help.

275 is the width reguardless , which equals about 10.5's. 50 & 60 are the sidewall heights. 275/60 = 10.5w x 28t... 275/50 is 10.5w x 27t. The 27"tall might be the better choice.

Doug,
Will 275's fit in a standard wheel can?? I haven't seen much larger than a 255 width on a first gen car?? I have 245-45-16's on mine and they fit great but are "snug".
Just curious??

With the right backspacing 275's are about the biggest tire that will fit the rear and inside the wheelwells on most 67 & 68's.
Backspacing should be 4.5-4.75" on an 8-9"wheel.
I made a cardboard template with all the measurements to check for issues, and they'll fit without problems on my car and have seen alot of others with them too.
Measure,measure, test fit.

Thanks Doug, that's good info!
I agree on the backspacing!! I run a Weld wheel with 4.625" bckspc and the tires are damn near perfectly centered in the cans on my '68.
I think that the low profile tires on my car might make it look like nothing larger will fit.
