I bought a new set of tires and rims Front 17x8 245/45-17, Rear 17x9.5 275/40-17 and the rears look funny because of the low profile that size tire creates. I would like to put a taller tire on this rim and it still fit under the fender well. A 275/50-17 would still fit but it is almost 28" tall and the only front tire by the same manf is a 225/50-17 which is only 26" tall, Falken S/TZ 01.

Does anybody know if a tire manufacturer makes a 275/45-17 & a 245/45-17 performance tire that are the same model?

a 275/45-17 doesn't exist according to TireRack.com
How about changing the front to a 235/40-17 or 245/40-17 instead?

There are many brands that tire rack doesn't carry. Nitto is one example. They make a 255/45/17 and then it goes to 275/40 and 285/40...

My suggestion is the 255/45, I run them in the rear of my car with 235/45's up front...
