I found that I have a problem with my driver's side rear axle which was causing the wheel/tire to wobble. I'm not sure if it is a bent axle or just the disc brake rotor not seating evenly. But I drove the car not knowing it. Could the tire from that location get distorted or out of round from rolling with that wobble? If so, can it be corrected by having it remounted and rebalanced?

Tires can AND do come unglued in the middle plies between the tread-belt and the inner air-liner so I would look there first!!
Take your car to a GOOD reputable tire shop and ask them to check all four out!!
My neighbor had a Ford P/U that this happened to on the pass. side front and it took him and his tire shop a couple a times to pin-point his just starting tread separation problem..

I had a tire break a belt once and looked like it was wobbling. Darn curbs always getting in the way. graemlins/sad.gif
I tore my frontend apart twice looking for the low speed shimmy only to find that one of my perfectly fine looking BFG's had started to separate. Wasn't easy to spot so I'd suggest having a very close look at it.
Chances are it has some cupping from the wobble. I wouldn't run it on the front, maybe a couple of burnouts will make it even again?
