RECENTLY PURCHASED 67 RS/SS CAMARO, HAVE ORIGINAL SALES SLIP, PROTECTO-PLATE. CAR HAS NO MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION. WAS ORIGINALLY A 350 MOTOR 295HP, AND A POWER GLIDE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION ON THE RIGHT ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. SHOULD I STICK WITH THE POWER GLIDE TRANS OR SHOULD I PUT IN A TURBO 350 TRANS. WILL THIS EFFECT THE VALUE OF THE CAR ALOT OR JUST A LITTE. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEED RESTORED. ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE GRATELY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU

Capitals are used for two broad purposes in the English language:
* They mark the beginning of a sentence
* They signal a proper noun, pronoun or adjective
- so switch off the "Caps Lock"... graemlins/sad.gif

2.) Your other question is way to vague to be answered without knowing the complete present condition of vehicle, your future intentions for the vehicle, your resources and how you plan to have the work done.
It's your car and only you know the answers to these questions. It will be worth what you ask for it if and when you sell it and what someone is willing to pay to acquire it from you at that time.
As a general rule - any modification to a vehicle that does not require cutting or changing major components of the structure so the vehicle could be restored to original confiquration in the future will not greatly effect the overall value of a vehicle in a negative way. Changing the transmission to a more modern type, such as a TH350, would usually fall into this type of modification. It could probably be changed back to original PG confiquration without much effort.

I hate ta say this but an SS/RS without it's motor and correct tranny is to me just another car.. Although a nice car to have..

And I say this b/c I no longer have the original motor around and that's what I consider it..

Ps., FWIW, I special ordered my 350SS/RS new in '66...

Once the original is gone, it is gone. It really depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to just have a nice driver, I would put a 2004R overdrive trans in. If you don't care about driving long distances, than put a powerglide back in. Everyone has their own opinion, you need to do what you are happy with.
