Here's a quick question for the board. Still working on my truck, seems like I'll never get to work on my camaro. Here's the deal. 2wd 85 gmc with a 4bbl 305.The carb on it now is way too big. It's a 795cfm edelbrock 1904.Want to put a smaller carb on it, was thinking about a 600 cfmedelbrock, but still seems too rich. What do you think about a 500 cfm carter w/elec choke. Too small ? Or just right. It's my dailey driver and don't do much hauling with it. Thanks for any help you can give.

If the engine is stock or near stock, the 500 would be the best carb for you. The regular 1405 edelbrock will be too rich, but they are easily tuned...most changes can be made in minutes
