Anyone running this moroso evac system on the street, My motor has a tendency to leak oil due to crankcase pressure, I am seriously considering running this evac system. Input would be welcomed. Some swear by it, I know it will pull some oil into the exhaust, but my stud girdles will block some oil, baffles can't be run with the girdles and Oil leak problems persist with new pan etc. I don't think open breathers are getting the job done I am running moroso tall alum valve covers. Those evacuation systems with the check valve are designed to function with zero-back pressure exhaust systems like sprint cars or cars that run 1/4-mile at a time with open headers; haven't seen one yet that works on a street-driven car with a full exhaust system, which kills the extraction effect. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

A friend used to run it on a small block nova with mufflers, it pulled vac but he got oil in the exhaust. Need to do something also considered the sprint car breather set up that connects at the front of the valve covers. But don't think that is positive enough, What about a pcv, won't that contaminate the intake charge with oil without baffles? I also am running power brake reservior and would have to T- off of the the large port at the back of the carb. Brake set-up is working well and I dont really want to do that. Hence the evac idea.

I'm setting up a vacuum pump on our road racing Nova. We looked at the Moroso system, but decided to run a dedicated pump to get the 8-10 inches that Total Seal recommends. GZ Motorsports supplied the setup, and we're in the process of installing it. Total Seal also recommended SMT seals and gave us some tips on sealing the engine. They also recommended vacuum testing the crankcase on the engine stand to make sure it is sealed tight. I have a 3hp compressor I turned into a vacuum pump that should fit the bill.
