I bought a clone convertable 1968 SS396 five speed 400 hp or up???????? the car is very light not sure if proper bracing was installed. I need to know what to look for,as far as extra metal on frame or whatever. Thanks

When you say clone convertible, do you mean a coupe which has been turned into a convertible? A convertible has much heavier
rockers than a coupe. The rockers are tied together by a large H shaped brace which is directly under the front seat area. The X pan bolts to this brace. None of this is present on a coupe. There is an additional brace at the front of the rockers connecting them to the heavy metal at the base of the firewall. In addition, there are the "cocktail shakers" at each corner of the car, inside the trunk and behind the headlights. Thats most of it.
