Anything I need to know when I put my driveshaft back into the car. Any type of alignment??? or do you just put it in?? 67 Camaro, 10 bolt, Muncie 4 speed.

If you changed the U-joints you might want to have it rebalanced, mine went out of balance when I switched U-joints believe it or not. If you didn't switch U-joints, you might want to make sure you didn't loose any of those little needle bearing in the rear ujoint. A little grease in the bearing caps helps keep them in place while you install the driveshaft.

No alignment, so to speak, however, check tailshaft bushing clearance, side-to-side movement with U-joint s/b less than .050 inches.

Be sur eto install driveshaft OVER the emergency brake cable.

If it's been off the car for a while and has rust in the yoke then you might want to sand it inside and out a little. If you bang it in you might break something inside the tranny. And if it's a new one make sure you have enough play or clearance, so the drive shaft can move in and out. Your cars driveshaft moves back and fourth because the rear axle moves up and down.
