Can anyone tell me what the value of a used but good 12 bolt posi carrier with 4:10 ring and pinion is worth? It is out of a 69 Camaro 12 bolt housing. Any help would be appreciated!

It depends on whether it needs to be rebuilt and if the gears are in good shape. I would peg the price at $350 maximum. However complete rear ends are worth considerably more money than the sum of their parts.

Well, for a used posi chunk, I pay $100-200, because I know I may have to add clutches, or other parts when I rebuild it. The used gear sets run $35-60, unless you get someone wanting one really bad. Is it a 3 series or 4 series? That also makes a difference. You have one you want to sell?

Yes, I have one to sell. It is a series 4 with 4:10 gears. Bought a new series 3 and set of 3:42 gears for my car. The carrier and gears are fine. There was no noise or roar coming from them when removed. It just wasn't as drivable on the open road as I wanted. Thanks for the replies

Email me with price, and the #'s off it. May be interested in it. You are pretty close. I have some friends in Huntsville, (several actually). I would want to look at it, and dissassemble it first, and then we can talk $$.

The $350 price in the above post. You can get a new Eaton posi chunk for @ $320 from almost any rear and drivetrain specialty shop, and catch them on sale, and they are more like $270.
