I picked up a 350 with one of these intakes. It appears to be a single plane with some sort of air gap deal in the front. Is this just an old has been intake? What's the story on this one?

The Scorpion is one of the most sought after Edelbrock manifolds of all time. It is pre-Victor Jr. and works pretty bad ass. If you dont want it, I'll take it. BartonekDragRacing May 21st, 03, 11:27 AM yep! Great intake! I just picked one up in a trade for my brothers SBC 396. smile.gif pdq67 May 21st, 03, 04:12 PM I think E-brock made the single planes like this. 1. Original Torquer (with the tube). 2. Tarantula. 3. Scorpion. 4. The Smokey Ram is in here somewhere too as is the Z-28, 2x4 intake?? 5. Victor Jr. and Torquer II (without the tube??). 6 The rest of the Victor line. Yes, it is a winner... Hope I have these in the right ... pdq67 rojo May 22nd, 03, 03:55 AM Thanks for the info guys. I do remember the Tarantula. I guess I wasn't high enough on the horsepower ladder back in those days for the Scorpion. It's kinda cool having a intake that looks like it has a Ram Air hood built in. |
