I just wanted to know if anyone knows any reason why I might not be able to use cast iron vortec cylinder heads on my original 327 block. I realize that I would have to use a vortec style intake manifold and use center bolt valve covers, but is there any thing else that might not be compatable?

Not that I can think of. Be sure you use self-aligning rockers with the Vortec heads.

Just double check the cc of the heads your replacing. Vortecs are 64cc which I think your heads should be too, then its a direct swap. As for the rockers, another way around it is to have them drilled and tapped for screw-in studs and guide plates.
