I HAVE A 350 SBC IT HAS A 600 CFM EDELBROCK.THE MOTOR HAS RV TYPE CAM AND A DUAL PLANE EDELBROCK INTAKE.THE REST IS STOCK.ITS REAL SLUGISH FROM START NO POWER.WHEN I HAD THE 327 I HAD A 750 AND IT WOULD HALL SET UP THE SAME AS THE 350?

A 600 cfm carb should be fine for a mild 350.

Everyone tends to blame a carburator first when the problem is usually ignition or maybe something else altogether.

A compression check would be a good idea. Also it would be interesting to see what a vacuum guage reads at idle. The guage might point to issues with the valve train or ignition timing. I think you'll find the 600cfm carb will work fantastic for a street rod. It's possible the carb needs adjusting or a rebuild. A 750 is pushing it for a 350SBC. IMHO that is better suited for a race motor that reaches or exceeds 7000RPM.

THE MOTOR HAS 200 MILES ON IT.IT HAS STOCK EXHAUST MANIFOLDS.IM THINKING OF CHANGING TO HEADERS TO HELP PERFORMANCE.THE IGNITION IS POINTS TYPE WITH A NEW SUPER COIL.I HAVENT ADJUST THE DWELL ON THE DISTRIBUTOR YET.SET THE TIMING TO 8 BTDC.IM GOING TO ADJUST ALVE TRAIN AGAIN THIS WEEKEND.WAITING ON A NEW SET OF VALVE COVERS NO SENSE IN REMOVING THEM TWICE.THE CARB IS A 600 EDELROCK NEW.I HAVE ADJUST THE MIXTURE SCREWS.IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO TO IT?

You set dwell FIRST, then timing (dwell affects timing). Check for vacuum leaks, throttle linkage, choke adjustment, accelerator pump adjustment, vacuum advance operation, and centrifugal advance operation. Tuning basics. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

A bad or missing condensor can also cause a power loss.
