Did 3rd Gen Camaros come with only 2.8 liter v6 or did they offer others at some point

Only the little bent-6 and the small block..

It's a real shame the General didn't throw the 4.3, (3/4 of a 350), bent-6 in our cars b/c it is a dandy little engine!! pdq67
