Which brand of aftermarket balancer to use? ATI, TCI Rattler, or Fliudamper
I see all major builders, Sonny's, Reher-Morrison, Pat Muzi, Bill Mitchell, etc. use ATI, but they are building BBC, 540-565's.
If one were to build a stout SBC, 7K rpm, dual purpose car, what would your choice be?

I think this is just a matter of prefference and you will probably get several different answers. I use Fluidampr on both of my strokers, I have never had a problem out of them. You just have to use a different damper when you get the balancing done. I'm sure all of the ones you mentioned are good (I never liked the concept of the rattler).

I have an ATI balancer on my 350sb and I like it very much.. All of them do the same job just as well. I heard though that if you leave the fluidamper sitting around for a while though, some of the fluid inside settles to the bottom ,and could cause the engine to vibrate.. But thats only if the engine sits for a long while like months. I got that piece of info from my machinist. Good Luck!
