I have a 1983 Camaro Z-28 with a 350 4-speed
I have a very badly leaking radiator, and am replacing it tomorrow. I parked it in the garage last night...when I woke up to go for a drive,I pulled out and noticed red dots all over the garage floor! My transmission was leaking fluid... Slowly... How can I find where its leaking from, and whats the cheapest way to fix it?'
Thanks...

hopefully the trans is just the overflow, but keep an eye on it. Just have the car running and see if it leaks in both park and drive. Make sure you have someone press the brake and not trust the parking brake in drive. Then if it isn't leaking after awhile, turn off the car and look while it is off. Sometimes leaks don't seem to start until you shut down the car.

Also, see if the dots match the outside of the pan. The pan gaskets love to leak over time. Turn each nut, about 1/2 a turn more and see if it stops. Do not overtighten though.

Where is the leak in the radiator? Could it be that your radiator is also leaking the tranny fluid? You didn't say whether the car was an auto, but I'm going to assume that it is......KZ

This might sound stupid...
The tranny fluid and the radiator fluid are united? Can they both leak from the same place??? if they are, then I will save a ton of money...
Thank

Tranny lines run to passenger side of radiator. Uses radiator as a cooler.
