Hi All:
Looking at buying a chrome alternator for my '68. The alternator is now mounted on the drivers side. Can I use the stock lower bracket that mounts to the stock exhaust manifold to mount a new chrome alternator?? Is there anything made in chrome for a lower bracket that will fit a stock exhaust manifold or do I need to get my original lower bracket chromed???

the chrome alts are just stock cases polished up and dipped in chrome- so, yes, it should fit.
as for the lower bracket, i know they are avaialable in chrome for installing headers, but if you have manifolds, you might need to get yours chromed if that's what you want.

Chrome Alternator - Stock Brackets??

Chrome Alternator = Slow death to the alternator. It retains too much heat and will speed it, to its own death.

Although, the stock brakets will work if it is a direct replacement for the one in question.
