I really didn't want to post this here but I've already tried the "parts wanted" section twice and I've looked for this part for the last 3 years so... Does anyone know where I could find an A/C resistor for the top of the A/C housing (outside suitcase) for a 69 Camaro? It was a 1 year only part, it is shaped like a football with 4 prongs sticking up. I've tried all the restoration places and it is not reproduced.

Are there any companies specializing in restored A/C parts (tried Olde Air products already)?

Sorry for the post, but "Bench Racing" gets the most exposure and almost anything goes in this section, and I'm getting tired of looking. I tried "heating and Cooling" section last year with no luck.
Thanks TC for your help (Delete the post if not an acceptable place for it).

You might try these guys,

They've been able to come up with some hard to find parts.

Joey, Is it part #3942651? If it is, I logged onto www.partsvoice.com (http://www.partsvoice.com) and didn't find anything. You can contact them to search for the part for you, hope this helps...Mike smile.gif

The 69 Resistor (4 total speeds, 3 resisted speeds) is not in production, the 67/68 Resistor (3 total speeds, 2 resisted) is still in production. The 67-68 is G5094 from Classic Industries for $13.50, Ricks and others will also have it. What I did was I took a G5094 and cut the old harness to adapt it to the 67-68 AC resistor instead, it worked fine, basically you lose your low speed and only get medium/high/FULL speeds.
If you still have the old unit, you can buy two of the 67-68 models and remove the wire windings and install them on your old unit to refurbish it, you would have to take one of the windings and cut a little off to adjust the voltage so that you could have 3 different voltages like the original.
I did all that work and then decided to rip the whole thing out and go Vintage Air AC, so it was pretty much just a waste of time since I barely drove the car while I restored the front end and interior.
