I just purchased a T-56 and am planning to do the swap in my 68. I have done some research and asked a lot of questions. I still don't understand everything, but I have a little more knowledge now than when I first started. I might be able to answer some specific questions. I am considering going with the Weir kit. It seems to be the most economical way to go.

check out one of our board member's (Teetoe Jones) installation kits at www.g-machines.com. (http://www.g-machines.com.) Click on Tech Articles for info on doing the installation.

Does Weir have a website?

I asked Weir (Bob Weir I think) the same thing. He said not yet, he needs to hire someone to make him a site. He told me he is in the process of developing a whole kit for the T-56 swap, including the crossmember etc. He said he may have it done by the end of this month. It should be interesting to see what he comes up with as far as price and quality.
