I need some help! I just started my 350 that I rebuilt and this is what happened. Engine ran great but...oil is coming out from the oil filter adapter that mounts to the block. The "O" ring is in place and the adapter is tight! It seems like the leak is intermitent though. It leaked when I first started the engine,I took the filter off and re-tightened the adapter, put the filter back on and refired. It ran for 5-7 minutes with no leak then it started pushing alot of oil out of it again! Any ideas on what this could be??? Please help! Wanna drive this thing!

You must have a 67 block, are you using the old canister type filter? I recall that on the old canister filter adapter if you didn't install the rubber gasket in the right location it would leak.
If you have the spin on filter conversion the adapter quality could be questionable since alot of these were cheapies made offshore.

what brand adapter is good? I have a cannister now and would like to use the spin on filters. I see Year One carries an adapter, but they don't say who makes it.

WIX makes the adapter with complete instructions and can be bought through any parts house. Mr. gasket used to be avail. but has pulled them from the shelves.
