There is one 1969 Convertible that has only 6 miles on the odometer, never been driven on the street. It has been stored since it was delivered and is now for sale here in Europe.
Plastic covers still on the seats, all documentation in the glovebox and so on.

Is this to good to be true??

I just found this out from a guy over here, I will try to find out more details.

I'll keep you posted

Sounds like what we call here in the states, an "Urban Legend" (too good to be true, made up story that every one believes) tongue.gif

Find that hard to believe when even pushing/driving the car onto a car trailer to get it to where ever it was sent and once there pushing/driving it again to another trailer to get to where it is now. And assuming that it has never moved the entire time.

Hard to get a new car now with less than 15-20 miles on them from all the shipping around.

Guess it could happen but I seriouly doubt it and if so why would anyone do it?

There is (was) a Chevy dealer here in Mass that had a 1978 Corvette pace car with less than 15 miles on it, still in plastic in the showroom.

I spoke with the service manager about the car and he said the owner has one of every style change vette in storage in the same condition. He has sold a few over the years, but still had over 20 brand new vettes, ranging in years from the '50's to present day... That's quite the investment..

Similar story - Only I have seen this one with my own two eyes...

Chevy dealer near my home town kept 2 1978 indy pace car 'vettes - 1 was stored and to this day has 8 miles on the odo and the other is only driven in parades and such and has less than 2,000.

Hard to believe that an origianl 80K mile '69 z28 is probably worth more....

I once saw a 69 Vette with 41 original miles on it-this was probably around 1986 or so.The owner owned a garage that specialised in "gray-market" cars-exotic Europeans that he imported, made US street legal and then sold.Anyway,he had bought this Vette and parked it.I heard he sold it a few years ago, heard the price wasn't what you might expect for such a low mileage car.
