MarkM Apr 17th, 01, 04:57 AM They did in mine. I'm running a 8.5 from a nova and I put the axles from my 8.2 in it. oger Apr 17th, 01, 06:24 AM I have never tried it but they measure the same mbrekke Apr 17th, 01, 06:58 AM I had the same question a while back. Check this post. http://www.camaros.net/forum/Forum9/HTML/002205.html Mark ilbl8 Apr 17th, 01, 09:49 PM i might be wrong, but every one i have talked to, axle builder's, say do not do it, they might fit but they are not right. the bite of the axle spline's is how the force or power is transfered. too little engagement=striped splin's. to tight engagement= no room to sweel when it get's hot and something is gona break. it is a very fine line between good and bad here. oger's post of the .020 diferance can make or break a axle or spider gear/posi unit. MarkM Apr 18th, 01, 04:12 AM I didn't know there was a difference in spline size, so I think I might go ahead and put the 8.5 axles in there. I didn't put those in originally becuase they were missing a few wheel studs, just being lazy. Does anyone know of a website that sells stock c-clip stlye axles? chacane67 Apr 18th, 01, 01:43 PM Tom's Differentials.
