I have a 93 Camaro, and since I've bought it in September I have spent many weekends attempting to fix it. The engine was turning but not starting, recently I fixed this by replacing the distributer, coil pack. Since then the car has been running very poorly, and unreliablely. It is possible that I have mixed up some of the spark plug wires. I have yet to look into this, but I think something else is wrong. The engine is bogging out in every gear, as if it isn't getting enough gas or is firing incorrectly. Also the tachometer was jumping from idle speed up to 6,000 rpms. Any help would be benificial, thanks.

If you have a timing light put the pickup on each individual plug wire and watch the light. It should trigger reliably if your ignition is strong. If there is a problem then should would see the timing light skip.

Make sure your wires are in the correct order. The correct firing order for the V8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. The cylinders are numbered odd on the drivers side and even on the passenger side with #1 and #2 cylinders toward the front of the car.
