Im stumped
I put my 454 out of race car seeing as thanx to govermental tampering shut down our drag strip which by the way was owned by Ed Jones of the jolleyrancher wheelstander fame (sorry about the crying ) Ok back to the subject 454 10.5 comp strip dom intake 800dp stock jets 4.5 power valve comp xtreme energy cam like 284 degrees adv. 551 I think lift healthy for street but not to bad I cant seem to get it to idle acts like vacuum leak changed intake gasket carb gasket sprayed around it all shows no leaks from the out side anyway if I put my hand over the top of carb it will calm down not sure where to go from hear probably can borrow a friends carb to try sure hope not leaky intake cause it sure looks sweet and except for the idle its a real "ripesnorter"
same engine in my 4500 lb bracket bomber ran in the 7 sec range in the 1/8 th with a bigger cam but weighing almost 1000 lbs more
hope someone my have a idea not sure if Im a dumbass or just over looking something while
