I have a 69 SS with a 350.I know the block is not original but I think the rest of the components are. My question is about the heads I have not pulled the valve covers yet to get the numbers but the heads have a triangle on the front which points toward the center. Can somebody tell me if they are the correct casting for a 69 300 hp 350. Thanks.

The correct heads for a 69 SS350 were 3927186 "double humps" or 3947041 "large triangle". Both were 1.94 valves. The Z 186 heads were 2.02, but same casting number. From your description they could be the 041's, but you will have to pull the cover to be sure.

Intake should be 3927184, distributors were 1111488 (manual tranny) or 1111489 (auto).
Carbs were 7029203 manual, 7029202 auto.

Thanks Kevin. I'll post the numbers when I pull the covers. Where's the date code on heads?

Right under the casting number. MDDY (letter for month) format.
