Ok guys tell me if you think this is do able. I need to have my Camaro painted and ready by September 16th. My shell is in primer all body work is done, firwall smoothed etc, etc.. Motor is built and so is the trans. I test fitted the engine trans combo and cut the hole in the floor for the shifter (4 speed conversion). Ill give you all a quick run down of the parts I need to order (thank god for generious parents and a loving girlfriend!) Im getting a family loan to finish this thing.

Parts needed to order.
clutch
autometer gauges (just ordered a DSE dash)
water pump
march serpentine system
painless wiring kit
electric fans
re size the drive shaft
recover, install and buy a complete interior
wheels (17" or better TTII's or vintage wheel works)
mount the front brakes
install all the painted sheet metal

Im sure im leaving somethings out but I have all day and all night to work on this thing. I am going to order a bunch of parts on thursday. All I am waiting for is my car to get painted. I want to hear my engine run for my 22nd birthday (8-27)

WISH ME LUCK!
Justin

Sounds like a LOT of fun.

You will need EVERYTHING going your way with that workload and a tight scedule. Paint is what held me up the longest. Everything else was just R&R.

Good Luck!

Justin, Good luck with it! Seems like a fairly tight schedule, like stated before, but get that thing painted, that should take the longest. Test fit all your drivetrain parts while it's being painted (if someone else it doing it) For instance, things like your serpentine belt assembly, make sure your clearence and pulleys are correct. Take your time, "haste makes waste" but have fun and take pictures, so we can all enjoy your project! graemlins/beers.gif BTW, Happy Birthday! graemlins/thumbsup.gif ...Mike

My brothers friend is the one painting my car. The other day he came by and picked up the doors, spoiler, header panel, trunk lid, and a few more parts that were ready for paint. Im just worried about the body getting painted. Most of the things I have left to do are engine bolt ons and body assembly. Ill take lots of pictures.
