My friends and I have found that the Bosch Platinum plugs work best in all our vehicles. The plain plugs they produce (not the garbage with four electrodes) come in various heat ranges and so on. You need to find a knowledgable sales person to find the heat range chart though.
On one friend's '76 Firebird with a radical 455, the Bosch's actually smoothed out his idle with no other change. Give them a try.

The platinums are great. One piece of advice though. The platinum plugs are more sensitive to gasoline. So if you run rich, or flood alot, then these plugs are not a good choice. They will foul more easily than normal plugs

with the msd you dont need exotic plugs. i run a blown bb with ac delcos (44ts off the top of my head) and everything runs fine

I agree with Pink68. Also, in my experience, MDSs eat spark plugs for lunch. This makes sense since you get 6 sparks instead on just one. I use AC-Delco because they are cheap.
