Well,
I made it to Atlanta today, Actually up in Acworth now. Not to bad but it is very humid and the Camaro seems alittle slugish (but it could be from being on a Trailer for the last 2800 miles).

Where does everyone hang out? graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Yea, we got that little thing called humidity down here that will take some getting use to for a former Nevadan. Just wait until July/Aug! Make sure your A/C is healthy!

Another good car get together is Cruz Night in Canton every 3rd Sat. If you can find the big shopping center complex, you can’t miss is it, as it’s huge. There’s bunch of restaurants there to chow down at (Red Lobster, Outback and several other steak places, several Mexican places, and bunch of others I don’t recall off hand. It’s a good time, and is quite large. Last time I was there back in Sept, that Black pro-touring Camaro on Jan ’04 PHR mags cover was there. I think the guy that owns it (or had it there that night) is the bald guy on the Atlanta team of McGuire’s car search show on Speed. Here is a cool Ga Cruise nights site

You got the drags in Commerce. Super Chevy is 6/4. NHRA is there 5/13.

Road Atlanta is cool. I was at the Pettit Lemans last year and had a blast. Panoz racing school is there…One of these days I’ll have the extra cash to take the class.

Of course, there is the Atlanta Speedway and Talladega is a relatively short drive over the boarder. Same goes for that new road racing track in Al if you like bike racing. I forget the name though (haven’t been there yet), but there is also a big bike museum at that track.

Not necessarily car related, but there’s all kind of weekend events/attractions throughout the summer up in the North Ga mountains. Dahlonega is cool to check out (and Barry Grant/Daemon are up there). So is Helen if you like German food. Regardless of the event or destination, carving the mountains roads getting there and taking in the sights can be the main event.

Up the road in TN, Chattanooga’s cool to check out (about 1hr drive). Also up a ways farther is Floyd Garrratt muscle car museum
http://www.musclecarmuseum.com. It’s a long drive, but… Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are close by, so it makes for a good weekend family trip.

Sorry for the Delay in this Reply! tongue.gif

I have had a pretty busy week, getting checked in to my new command and finding/moving everything that I brought out into a storage unit. Then I have had to fix a "MAJOR" fuel leak from my gas tank  , Seems that the sending unit/pickup plate cracked and tossed the O-Ring out. Then I had to fix the wipers that quit and readjust the Brakes, start tuning the Carb for this thick air, etc. graemlins/boring.gif

Steveo: You had the weekend right, Dusty and Krissy went to my place in Fallon to visit with her mom and my wife (sisters). To "BAD" for Dusty as I had already left with the Camaro in tow before he got to see it Run.

UMMAGWA, CFUNK: Lets get hooked up (along with any one else in the area) Sometime before the end of the month. (I go back to Fallon to rescue the Family and bring them out here then).
Email me at my work email that I sent you or at ftsamec@yahoo.com
