I need some help! I took off my valve covers today to check what kind of heads came on my car. This is what they are based on the Mortec website; 14011034 Bowtie, cast iron, 64cc chambers, 184cc port volume, angle plug, "Phase II" head. Are these any good? But the problem I have is on the passenger side , one of the rockers was so loose it is all chewed up along with the pushrod. the biggest problem is on the driver's side. One rocker was laying inside the valve cover, screw in stud snapped right off and the roller rocker is shot also. What to do????? The engine has a solid lifter cam ( I don't know anything about it) The roller rockers are a bright blue aluminum with Milidon guide plates. Should I just replace all the rockers and new pushrods, replaced the screw in stud? I don't know what the ratio is or how to determine it. If I bring the rocker to the Performance shop would they be able to tell? I'm at a loss...How would this happen i have never beaten on the car unless it was the previous owner?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Dennis

There is no need to post the same question twice...I just added to this same post in the troubleshooting forum. Most everybody here reads all of the forums.

I could not find any other posts on this subject in any of the other areas.
Make sure you have the 7/16" dia screw in studs.
3/8" are stock size but the bottom end of the stock size studs is 7/16" just like the big block stud which is 7/16" top and bottom of the stud. This is a lot stronger way to go.
ARP makes a very strong stud kit that is 7/16" where the rocker goes, and made for the small block.
You should check for spring coil bind, rocker to spring clearance, correct pushrod length, proper spring for that cam.
If the adjustment was too loose, it could break parts. Or the engine was revved too high and the valves floated and threw the rocker or pushrod off.
I'd do a leakdown test, or at least a compression test to check for a bent valve.
I like the stainless steel rockers, but they are expensive..
