Can someone tell me if the z bar from a 67 chevelle big block, is the same as for a 67 camaro big block?

No, it is not. I think Steve'sCamaro's in South San Francisco made them and might still have them in stock. I don't know the phone number but the area code is 650.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, because I do own a 67 396 car, what is a Z BAR??

Steve the z - bar is the bar that works the clutch. It runs from the side of the engine to the frame. The clutch linkage from the pedal hooks to it on one side & the adjuster for the throw out bearing fork hooks to the other side.

bell crank is probley the correct name. I just always heard it called a z - bar.

I guess different parts of the country call the parts different, Sometimes we have a hard time rememebering the correct names. Do you have a extra (bell crank) for a big block Camaro for sell cheap. Thanks Johnny
