I know the valve/guide clearance is too big on them factory..........oil usage and smoking.

Tracy I have heard the same thing about the valve guides being a little loose, so far I have not had a problem with it smoking or using any oil. I took them down to the local machine shop to have a valve job done and to machine the spring seat to except a 1.437 inch spring, And they tried to tell me that the valves were 100 thousands longer and it would not run right!! It sounded kind of funny to me since it runs 12.80@109. sounds like they were trying to sell me some thing I did not need

Are they Sportsmans? they normally come with standard valvetrain components. But I suppose you can order whatever you want.

I will assume that we are talking overall valve length. Yes they can be longer and will run for a while. You have to check the valve train for travel of the rocker on the valve stem, then get the proper pushrod length.
