which headers for a 1969 camaro ss 396 big block chevy with floor shifter console, power steering and a/c? this is a street car. i would like a set that requires no modifications and maybe coated. the car already has a stainless
steel exhaust and flowmaster mufflers hooked to the stock manifolds.

I also have a 69 SS396. I put headers on it several years ago and at that time Hooker and MR Gasket had products that would fit. Headman makes headers that come in full size and shorty versions. There are a couple of plugs that are real close. I would get a set and trial fit them so you can put in a dimple to clear the plug wires that may be too close. Then send out the headers to be ceramic coated.
